"Tiny" is an Italian Greyhound who recently
needed to be re-homed because her caretaker had to move and could not take
"Tiny" with her. After losing Ebony, Chris felt that Tiny came to us for
a reason. "Tiny" has moved into Ebony's coveted quarters and is starting
to feel at home with us. "Tiny" isn't quite tiny because she has
a thyroid problem which has caused her to become overweight. Her weight gain has put
some stress on her joints, so she moves slowly and carefully. As of May 29th,
"Tiny" had been with us for a little over two weeks and has lost about 4 lbs.
She is now (July 2007) down almost 10 lbs and feels great!. Tiny has become a new
member of the TM's family and we look forward to keeping you informed of her progress."Tiny"
is doing very well! She continues to lose weight and seems to be enjoying her
newfound agility, too! She "runs" to the people she recognizes most and
even gives kisses to us! She also loves to roll in the grass and scratch her
back. Though "Tiny's" life has changed drastically in the last few months,
she seems to have taken this change well. She has quickly, and quite easily, fit in
well with us here and has filled a void for Chris, as well, after the recent losses of
"Ebony" and "Cassie." She is now the official mascot of our
small group play in
as well. She enjoys meeting new dogs and revels
in rolling in the cool grass.
As of September 21st, Tiny weighs in at 27.5 lbs! She's lost all the
weight that the vet advised she lose in order to stay healthy. We are very proud of
her. Ask to meet her when you visit. She's a real sweetie!
